We’d like to introduce the Lagusta’s Luscious Chocolate of the Month!
As a fun challenge for us and a treat for you, we’re very excited to announce that starting in June 2010, we will be releasing a brand new chocolate every month! Caramels, creams, fruity bonbons, fancy filled chocolates, special rare truffles, candies—all manner of new exciting sweets are soon to come your way. All are organic, fair trade, handcrafted and 100% vegan, of course.
Each Chocolate of the Month is $15 per box, with between 8-15 chocolates in each box, depending on the month.
And of course, this means we’re launching a Chocolate of the Month Club!
Lagusta’s Luscious chocolates are heartbreakingly delicious and painstakingly made by hand with truly artisanal ingredients. You might enjoy reading a poem about our chocolates written by the lovely Matthew Dickman.
Founded in 2003 by a passionate vegan chef, Lagusta’s Luscious artisanal chocolates combine a deep commitment to social justice, environmentalism and animal rights with the love of bold flavor of a true foodie and the obsessive commitment to artisan techniques of a chocolatier. We work closely with small farmers and producers in our beloved town of New Paltz, New York and across the country to source everything from our Maui vanilla beans (from a tiny two-acre vanilla farm) to the candy-striped beets (our beet-coriander truffle will win you over, we promise!) grown by Farmer Jessica less than a mile away.
From our 100% fair trade and organic chocolate to our 100% post-consumer recycled paper boxes and packing materials, we are a completely vegan business committed to sustainability without sacrifice.
We don’t scrimp on quality, and we work with an attention to detail you will appreciate as you open the perfect box of chocolates to inhale the rich perfume of seriously luscious chocolate.
We have two lines of chocolates: artisanal Chocolate Truffles in five assortments, and six varieties of Bluestocking Bonbons.
The truffles are intensely smooth ganache centers infused with our innovative flavor combinations, then dipped in pure bittersweet chocolate and beautifully garnished.
The brand new Bluestocking Bonbons are a ridiculously innovative line of chocolates named for feminist luminaries. Fresh sweet raspberries mixed with rich balsamic syrup, classic peanut butter cups and peppermint patties, and more await within!
